Another Night of Swimming Lessons

Have I mentioned how much Xavian and Korra enjoy swimming lessons?

J is on vacation right now, so he went with us tonight to see the kids swim. "DAAAAAAD!!! Watch me swim!" was the phrase of the evening.

Korra's Class Easter Party

I have been very lucky this year to be able to volunteer with Korra's class at school. Mostly snack mom, but I have also helped with art projects, field trips, and class parties. The children in her class are so much fun!

Not pictured is the Easter egg dyeing. All the K-4 classes rotated rooms, and our room was egg dyeing. Another mom & I helped 138 kiddos dye eggs. That, is a lot of eggs!

Another Night of Swim Lessons!

Xavian and Korra are loving swim lessons! They both adore their instructors (members of the high school swim team) and the instructors are such patient girls. Especially Xavian's-she has 5 little boys!

I think I look forward to swim lessons as much as the kids. I love watching them learn to love the water! And it gives me about 1.5 hours of uninterupted knitting time. =P

Planting Seeds

The weather was simply beautiful yesterday! J & I decided to do a little work in the yard. Which, of course, turned into a lot of work.
.
We started off raking out the flower beds and the side yard. We took a break, so that I could go meet my MIL to pickup the kids, and when I returned with the kids, I thought we would just finish raking. I was obviously mistaken.

I went inside to nurse Saxton and put him down for a nap, and when I returned to the back yard, I found this:

I think someone (or someones) are a little excited to get the gardens started!

I finished raking by myself and then fired up the grill for dinner. Because I was such a planting slacker, J has given me 3 days to get my bulbs planted or he's swiping them for his flower beds.

Back away slowly, dear. And stay away. Those bulbs are MINE!

.

I know the weather is supposed to be yucky for a couple of days, so when it clears again, I'm off to plant my pretties. In the mean time, have no fear. I his my bulbs.

Korra took to trying to float on her tummy and back like a champ, and Xavian, well, Xavian swam UNASSISTED! I am soooooo proud of both of them!
